Oil, gas and mining bring in about twelve percent of the income within the city. The companies that are present here represent about 87% of the country's oil and gas producers and about two thirds of the coal producers. Some of the companies in this sector with their headquarters in Calgary include BP's Canadian office, Imperial Oil, Shell Canada, and Suncor Energy.
