It acts as a water softener( in industrial jargon, a builder), especially for hard water with high levels of magnesium and calcium. It can also be used as a regulator for pH value in water.
Detergents, mostly are made up of various components, to be precise, six groups of substances. This state enables it to form a suspension liquid in water which has a PH value ranging from around 4 to put to 14. Chelating Ability
